Barb Kuntz

Technology is Great Fun!
Barb Kuntz serves as the technology liaison for the Appleseed Writing Project and teaches visual arts at Lindley Elementary in Fort Wayne, Indiana. At Lindley, she is the building technology coordinator, a full-time art teacher, a member of the Quality Improvement Leadership Team and a New Teacher Academy mentor. Barb is a member of the Art Education Association of Indiana/National Art Education Association. In her spare time she is preparing to serve as the registrar for the 2010 Art Education Association of Indiana Convention being held in her home town of Fort Wayne in November. Barb graduated with a Liberal Arts Associate Degree from Ball State University in 1975, gained her Bachelors of Science Degree in Art Education in 1993, and is currently enrolled in the Masters in Education program at Indiana Wesleyan University which she will complete in May, 2011.
Moodle is a tool that she plans to investigate in the near future. Barb has created an online presence with blogs, wikis, graphic organizers like spicy nodes, bubble.us, and photo sharing sites like Picasa and Flickr during her technology adventures. She has attended several National Writing Project Conventions, Art Education Association of Indiana Conventions, and National Council of Teachers of English Conventions as well as the National Association for Gifted Children Convention, Indiana Computer Educators Convention, Indiana Reading Association Convention, and the National Art Education Association Convention. She strives to equip her students with the necessary connections that bind visual arts, literacy, and technology.
